In the immediate aftermath of the Biden administration unveiling its updates to Title IX that now prohibit any schools and colleges that take federal funding from discriminating on the basis of gender identity, a student at the University of Tampa got a first-hand look at the policy in action.
On Monday’s show, Megyn was joined by Emily Jashinsky, host of The Federalist Radio Hour, and Eliana Johnson, editor of The Washington Free Beacon, to discuss the viral video of a woman confronting a man coming out of a women’s bathroom on campus.

The ‘Bastardization’ of Title IX
While Megyn devoted almost the entirety of her show on Friday to the Title IX changes, you would be none the wiser to the updates if you only tuned into the corporate media this weekend. “There was zero coverage on the Sunday shows of what just happened with Title IX,” Megyn said. “The Biden administration, through one of its administrative agencies, redefined the term ‘women’ to include trans women – which is fake, that’s men pretending to be women.”
Title IX was passed by Congress in 1972 to outlaw discrimination based on sex in education and give women equal opportunities in academic settings, but “now if you’re a man pretending to be a woman, you get the same protections that we get,” Megyn explained. “You can come into our locker rooms, you can come into our bathrooms on any school campus… because we’re going to be completely safe, because there are absolutely no sickos who are going to take advantage of this bastardization of Title IX. Or are there?”
University of Tampa
On Friday, Nicole Gillis, the chairwoman of the Young America’s Foundation (YAF) at the University of Tampa in Florida, confronted a person who appeared to be a man dressed like a woman exiting a women’s bathroom on campus.
She captured their exchange in a video that has since gone viral on social media. “This is unacceptable. Women should never comply with this. We cannot be intimidated to the point that this becomes a norm,” she tweeted. “I watched this man ‘strut’ right into the bathroom without hesitation… We cannot be silent.”
In the clip, Gillis followed the person – who Megyn guessed was about six foot, two inches and wearing pink booty shorts and a crop top with bleach blonde hair – out of the building while asking questions like, “Why do you feel the need to go into women’s spaces as a man?” and “Do you think women don’t deserve their own private spaces?”
Jashinsky, who once worked for YAF, said part of what makes the encounter so effective is Gillis’ line of questioning. “I am very proud of that student because the first time I saw that video I was like, ‘That girl conducted herself brilliantly and was so sharp in that interaction,’” she explained. “It just sort of puts it all into perspective for people who aren’t on college campuses right now. You are looking at the reality of it.”
SUNY Cortland
The “reality of it” was also on display at SUNY Cortland in upstate New York, where Riley Gaines was delivering a speech Friday night. She posted a picture on X of a sign she found in a women’s bathroom on campus, which featured a dos and don’ts list for how to respond if “you feel like someone is using the wrong bathroom.”
As Megyn noted, the flier was “basically telling all women to ignore any objections that they might feel… because it doesn’t then finish with, ‘If so, say something. Go get help.'” Instead, the advice is “don’t stare at them,” “don’t challenge them,” “don’t insult them,” and “don’t purposefully make them feel uncomfortable.”
The school wants “transgender and non-binary individuals” to know they have “every right to be here… in this facility, in this community, in this university, [and] in this world.” And female students must “respect their privacy,” “respect their identity,” and “carry on with your day.”
The sign is also, as Jashinsky pointed out, emblazoned with a Title IX logo. “The freaking poster telling college students who are uncomfortable… that it is a Title IX-sanctioned policy for you to shut up and take it,” she said. “And that is exactly what the Biden administration’s position on this is.”
Ultimately, Megyn cautioned that this may soon be coming to a bathroom or locker room near you. “In that fight we just saw between the young woman and the pink-bottom guy, he wins,” she concluded. “Now it is national policy in kindergarten through college education – and beyond the education front – that he wins thanks to no lawmaker other than Joe Biden.”
