After students at Columbia blew past the deadline to go back to school, leave their “encampment,” and try to be a little normal earlier this week, they took to breaking into buildings. The leadership at Columbia is so feckless.
Don’t send your kid to Columbia. If you do, you’re going to get what you know you’re going to get. You are assuming the risk at this point. You just want your child to be a far-left activist who doesn’t actually want to learn but wants to preen in front of the cameras.
‘Dumb and Unattractive’
And by the way, why are these agitators so unattractive? I legitimately want to know. Why are all the protesters so homely? I don’t think that is unconnected. They are either dumb or unattractive. Take it to the bank.
I think attractive, smart people are not drawn to this nonsense. They are living their lives, being successful. It’s the unattractive and/or dumb people who feel the need to do this to feel like they matter.
Sorry, hard truths.
Case in point? Students who were sympathetic to the pro-Palestinian protesters were apparently using some sort of a rope pulley system to deliver goods up to the students who took over Hamilton Hall, including – you cannot make this up – tins of cupcakes.
I guess you could argue cupcakes are appropriate given the nature of these folks. But I would say – given my theory that only the unattractive or dumb people are the ones who are doing this kind of protesting – you should send some cover-up and some Ozempic. That would be a smarter and more useful delivery for this group.
The Flip Side
On the other hand, there is what we saw play out yesterday at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where a group of patriotic fraternity brothers took a stand after protesters briefly replaced the American flag with the Palestinian one while chanting the usual lines.
The guys marched onto the lawn – even while getting water thrown at them – and raised the American flag back to its rightful place as chants of “USA! USA!” broke out. Student Guillermo Estrada captured a bit of it and shared it on X.
Not for nothing, but all the young men putting the stars and stripes back up to where they belong were attractive and strapping. They were appropriately dressed with good haircuts. And they are lovers of America.
I’m telling you, it’s no accident! The good-looking guys are living their lives, they love America, and America loves them.
