Asked and Answered: Megyn Reveals the Two Lip Colors She Wears Most Often on the Show

We can’t begin to tell you the number of emails we receive from viewers inquiring about Megyn’s makeup looks – and now she is offering a peek into her makeup bag in this edition of ‘Asked and Answered.’

As Megyn has shared, she does her own makeup before the show each day. She got her on-camera glam routine down pat after years of sitting in a makeup chair at Fox News and NBC and by watching tutorials on YouTube.

Last year, she revealed her favorite complexion-perfector is the IT Cosmetics Bye, Bye Foundation because it offers buildable coverage (i.e. you can customize it from light to full depending on your needs) that does not settle into fine lines, crease, or get cakey. As Megyn explained, it evens out her skin, makes it look healthy and radiant, and works as well under the bright studio lights as it does in real life.

For Every Day Glam

And now it’s time to talk about the lips. Erin in Ontario is just one of the many audience members who have asked for the brand and shade of Megyn’s most frequent lip color. Her favorite? The MAC Lip Pencil in Dervish.

“I get this question a lot and, more often than not, it is not a lipstick but a lip liner,” Megyn explained. The shade is a neutral pinky-mauve that she likes because it adds a bit of definition without being overpowering. “It goes with anything,” she noted.

The key to getting Megyn’s look is in the application. “I will apply it all over my lips – not just as a liner – and then either put some clear lip gloss or a lip balm over it,” she explained.

For a Saucier Look

On days she is “feeling saucy,” she will opt for a more pigmented lip color instead. She picked up her favorite tinted lip gloss – the Reunited Beauty Night Fever Lip Gloss – during a trip to the Bahamas.

Megyn said the coppery bronze hue is a nice pop of color when she is wearing a more muted outfit. “I wear this sometimes when I have white or tan on,” she said, “because it is this pretty brown with a little sparkle.” She said the shimmery shade is also a great way to draw attention to your pout on days where “the eyes are not as made up.”

None of these recommendations are #SponCon or an #ad – just genuine reviews of products Megyn loves that hopefully you might too. “I’m not getting any money for these endorsements,” she noted. “So, you know they are real.”
