Earlier this month, our American business leaders went out to San Francisco when President Xi Jinping from China was visiting for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit and gave him a standing ovation.
They looked like good little Communists as they stood and clapped for the man now committing a genocide against Muslims in China. Didn’t anyone stop and think to themselves, ‘Not a good look, you know, the forced sterilization of Muslims in China. I’m really not going to stand and applaud the guy who’s doing that’?
Top U.S. executives – including Apple CEO Tim Cook, Tesla and X chief Elon Musk, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, FedEx chief Raj Subramaniam, and Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff – were among the 400 guests at the dinner hosted by the U.S.-China Business Council and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. Also in attendance? BlackRock’s Larry Fink.
Now, all of these corporate leaders were very vocal after the death of George Floyd in May 2020 about what a racist country America is and how disgusting America is because of our inherent racism. Fink was one of the most vocal. He sent a letter to employees just days after the incident addressing “racial injustice” in the United States:
“The past few weeks have been deeply painful for the Black community. The murders of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd, and the incident in Central Park, show how much work we have to do to build a stronger, more equal, and safer society… These events are symptoms of a deep and long standing problem in our society and must be addressed on both a personal and systemic level.”
– Larry Fink, May 2020
We’re the problem, yet that guy was in the middle of the crowd clapping for the man committing the genocide of Muslims. These CEOs are disgusting hypocrites. I never want to hear their lectures about this country again.
I am telling you right now: I don’t care what event I am at. I would never be on my feet cheering for that man. It’s absurd. These executives embarrassed themselves, their companies, and their country.
