Megyn Slams ‘Dishonest’ Leftists Who Smeared Brian Kilmeade as Racist for Something He Didn’t Say

Now that Kamala Harris has essentially been anointed the Democrat nominee, all we are going to hear for the next three months is that any criticism of her is racist or sexist. In fact, they are already starting to do it. The temperature on those issues is going to reach fever-pitch levels because that is the left’s favorite tool in their toolbox.

Already, they are saying it is sexist to talk about the fact that she slept her way into San Francisco politics with Willie Brown. That is not sexist. We would be saying the same thing if a man did it. Let’s go back and look at all of the attacks on Donald Trump’s sexual past and behaviors, not just the alleged sexual assault that he was accused of.

So, there are the sexism claims and then there are the racism claims. What I have noticed in my time as a political journalist is that when race gets into the ecosphere, it raises the attacks on everyone. It is not just going to be somebody who takes direct aim at Kamala Harris, it is going to be anybody in right-wing media, anyone in fair media, and any American out there who has an opinion of Kamala Harris that is not favorable.

And there was a small example of this Wednesday morning on Fox & Friends. Brian Kilmeade was doing a totally appropriate segment on the fact that Kamala Harris skipped Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress to give a speech at an event for the historically black Zeta Phi Beta Sorority in Indianapolis.

Okay, this is not a serious person. But it was actually part of the soft boycott of Netanyahu that is going on in Congress. In any event, this is what Kilmeade was talking about when the left pounced. What he actually said was:

KILMEADE: She will not show up for the prime minister’s joint session of Congress today. She would rather address, in the summer, a sorority – a college sorority – like she can’t get out of that. So, that’s her decision…

His detractors are accusing him of saying “colored sorority,” not “college sorority.” Brain Kilmeade has been on the air for more than two decades. If he were going to refer to black politicians as “colored,” it would have happened by now. We had a black president for eight years. He didn’t store it up for this moment in 2024, so he could unleash it on Kamala Harris.

But he received absolutely no benefit of the doubt. Instead, former Sen. Claire McCaskill tried to call out Kilmeade’s Fox & Friends co-host Lawrence Jones, who is black, for not scolding his colleague. She later tried to save face in a separate X post by claiming it was “hard to tell” if Kilmeade said “college” or “colored.”

Claire McCaskill, a white woman, shaming a black man for not getting offended at her mis-hearing of what Brian Kilmeade actually said is so gross and dishonest.

DNC chair Jaime Harrison, meanwhile, called Kilmeade a “clown” on X for allegedly saying “colored” and also condemned Jones being “as quiet as a church mouse” in response. Except Jones wasn’t having it.

“I’m the black man. You’re so damn dishonest. He said ‘college,'” Jones posted on X. “But that’s all you have. You know the bullshit that you advocate for only brings death, poverty, and destruction to our black communities. You are welcome on the show anytime to debate it. Me and you.”

Politico’s Eugene Daniels went after Kilmeade as well until backtracking once he got more information. “I spoke to Fox News about this and plan on speaking to Brian when he is off air. They’ve made clear to me that he used college, not colored,” he wrote. “The audio is garbled but I am going to take Brian and his team at their word.”

Eugene, that is what you should have done from the start. What history does Brian Kilmeade have of saying something like that? Yet they all do it for political and ideological purposes. This is what they think of white men, Fox News, and right-leaners in America in general.

He didn’t say it, he hasn’t said it, and they need to get a grip. It is just offensive.
