The Harris-Walz ticket came together in a matter of weeks in the wake of Joe Biden finally deciding to step aside as the Democratic nominee. Just as Vice President Kamala Harris did not go through the rigors of traditional  primary process, there wasn’t a whole lot of time to vet her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Perhaps that is why there seems to be a never-ending trail of mistruths and outright lies emerging about the head of the North Star State. While these controversies may be news to the national media and electorate, many of them have been known to Minnesotans since Walz first started running for public office some two decades ago.

On Wednesday’s show, Megyn was joined by Liz Collin, a veteran Minnesota journalist who is now with Alpha News, to discuss the criticism of Walz’s past positioning of his family’s fertility journey, his military record, his DUI arrest, and more.

IVF vs. IUI

Megyn and Collin discuss the lies from Walz about whether he and his wife actually used in-vitro fertilization (IFV) to conceive their children, how the Walzes actually used intrauterine insemination (IUI), how the Harris-Walz campaign is spinning this, and more.

The Truth About Walz’s DUI

Collin explains how Walz’s 1995 DUI arrest in Nebraska led him to move to Minnesota, his lies about having a “hearing problem” during the traffic stop, what the arresting officer has since said about the case, and more.

Stolen Valor Allegations

Alpha News led the way in breaking the story about the allegations of stolen valor against Walz dating back to his run for governor and were the first to sit down with Ret. Command Sergeant Major Thomas Behrends about his service. Megyn subsequently interviewed the veteran earlier this month.

The False ‘Coach Walz’ Narrative

Democrats have been using the “Coach Walz” nickname for Harris’ running mate and have even printed signs with the moniker, but Collin sheds light on why that is not actually an accurate title for Walz.

Minnesota’s ‘Trans Refuge’ Policy

Megyn and Collin break down the truth about Walz’s policy of making Minnesota a “trans refuge” for kids, his law that requires tampons to be available in all school bathrooms, how the media has spun the story, and more.
