Our poor Strudwick had himself a week. We are happy to report he is on the mend, but he did give Megyn and her family a bit of a scare.
Ever the adventurous eater, Strud chowed down on, in Megyn’s words, “something nasty” while he was running around outside and it did not sit right. That led to a very upset stomach and – to you spare you the nauseating details (pun intended) – he ended up with aspiration pneumonia in both lungs.
It took antibiotics, steroids, IV fluids, and an oxygen crate for three nights in the animal hospital to get Strudwick back on track, but he is now home and resting comfortably.
Megyn shared that the patient is tired (mostly due to not taking in as much oxygen as usual), but he is doing okay and will be back to his regular renegade of a self in a month or so.
As Megyn said, it’s always something with Strudwick 😅
