‘You Can’t Shut Me Up’: Megyn Has a Message for Critics as ‘The Megyn Kelly Show’ Beats Out Legacy Media

I want to share a point of pride for The Megyn Kelly Show and you, our audience. It hit the news earlier this week that we officially crossed one billion (!) views on YouTube.

In July, which was a very busy news month, we saw record numbers. We had 116.8 million views on YouTube. Obviously, it was a very busy news month for everyone, not just our show. But this program beat the YouTube channels of NBC News (78 million views), CBS News (83 million views), Sky News (87 million views), BBC News (72 million views), CNBC (17 million views), and more.

Do you have any idea how many staffers they have at those organizations and how much money goes into all the content that airs on their broadcast and YouTube channels? They have dozens of shows and teams of people feeding their channels. We have one show with six producers, and we are crushing these people.

Why is that? It is because the audience is onto the bullsh-t of the so-called ‘mainstream’ press. People click on their content, and maybe follow them, and then never go back. They have no loyalty to them. Our audience is loyal, they love the show, they trust us, and we work to earn that trust every day.

CNN has a big, successful YouTube channel. They had 190 million views in July, which is huge. They also hosted the presidential debate at the end of June and are supported by a billion dollar news operation. We have two thirds of their audience with just six staffers.

That is what is happening right now in media. The sea change that is underway will not and cannot be undone. These networks can no longer change the national debate. Instead, they are the subjects of scorn and derision because we are onto their unfairness and bias.

This is a victory for The Megyn Kelly Show, yes. But it is also a victory for all the independent voices trying to tell people what is real, as opposed to what is being force fed by the ‘mainstreamers.’

I will say, there are people on that list of channels who would love to have seen me without a job forever. I would be lying if I told you something other than I am thrilled that our one show crushed NBC News on its YouTube feed this month.

I think there are plenty of people there who would have loved to have seen yours truly exit the news business altogether and, frankly, who did their level best to make sure I never had a microphone in front of me again. To all those people, I will say as graciously and with class as I can: F-ck off. I’m back. You can’t shut me up.

So, there we go. A point of victory, thanks to our audience. God bless you all.
