It took nearly six weeks, but Vice President Kamala Harris finally sat down for her first interview since replacing President Joe Biden as the Democrat nominee. She chose the friendly confines of CNN for her pre-taped sit down on Thursday, which also included her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
CNN anchor Dana Bash was tapped to interview the pair, and she offered very little by way of challenge during the 27-minute exchange. When asked about why she has seemingly changed her position on just about every major policy, Harris claimed her “values have not changed.” Walz, meanwhile, attempted to blame his growing list of alleged lies on “grammar” and “passion.”
The interview was short on substance, but there was still plenty to learn from Harris and Walz’s first (and last?) sit down. In honor of Harris’ decision to bring her “emotional support governor” and “big white blankie” in Walz, Megyn came prepared on Friday’s show with her own comfort blanket to dissect the highly anticipated softball sit-down with the Democratic ticket.
