We all know there is a double standard in the media when it comes to the coverage of Republicans vs. Democrats or Donald Trump vs. just about anyone else. And that is once again on full display.
I have been watching in amazement for the past eight or nine years since Trump entered the political fold as the media has made his niece Mary Trump into Taylor Swift. Every word this person utters gets linked online. She has hundreds of thousands of subscribers to her newsletter. She is constantly on the media websites like, ‘Mary Trump says Trump can never win’ or ‘Mary Trump says Trump is a narcissist.’
Who gives a sh-t what Mary Trump thinks about anything? It is not like Ivanka Trump or Tiffany Trump have come out to turn on their dad. That might actually be something. But Mary Trump is like the ne’er-do-well niece. The interaction between these two is as thin as a piece of paper, but they treat her like an expert.
Then, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. endorses Trump and every Kennedy they can find is on television criticizing him and invoking the family name. That is what happens when you are critical of a Republican or somebody who is supporting a Republican.
Meanwhile, Tim Walz’s older brother, Jeff Walz, was outed by The New York Post as having made some very unhappy posts about the Minnesota governor on Facebook. He has made it clear he doesn’t support his sibling’s policies and donated $20 to the Trump campaign back in 2016. The brothers have apparently been estranged for about eight years now.
On top of that, Nebraska gubernatorial candidate Charles W. Herbster first posted this picture on X on Wednesday showing eight members of Walz’s family who still live in his birth state wearing “Nebraska Walz’s for Trump” t-shirts.
I wouldn’t normally be talking about Tim Walz’s brother or other family members. I don’t know what their rift is like. But if we are going to play by the leftist media rules, then this is fair game. And yet I don’t think we are going to get the same ‘star’ treatment of Tim Walz’s brother or the family members in that picture that we got of the Kennedys, or Mary Trump, or John McCain’s son who is out there ripping on Trump too.
Any family membership will apparently do, as long as you hate Trump. If you hate Tim Walz, it’s a different story.
