With 10 days left until Election Day, both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are crisscrossing the country to deliver their final message to voters.
Trump will be holding a rally at Madison Square Garden in his home town of New York City on Sunday as part of a larger “arena tour,” while Harris is slated to present her final pitch to the American people at the site of her opponent’s January 6 remarks on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
The messaging from the two campaigns could not be more different. And on Friday’s show, Megyn was joined by legendary actor James Woods who had his own closing argument of his own: “Make America America Again.”
Woods’ Message
As Woods has previously shared on The Megyn Kelly Show, his Hollywood career stalled when he started opening up to his more than four million X followers about his conservative leanings and support of Trump.
But he hasn’t backed down. “I am voting for this guy. I just think we need him. I don’t want to make America great again. I just want to make America America again, please,” Woods pleaded. “We are literally standing on the edge of our toes on the abyss looking into the bowels of hell in this election.”
Woods praised Trump’s foreign policy record – including “the Abraham Accords, standing for Israel, standing up against Islamic terrorism, keeping us out of war” – and said there is also plenty he can do to streamline the U.S. government.
“Here is the problem with having Trump as a candidate for these people: They are all pigs at the same trough – one wears a red tie, one wears a blue tie – but we have a problem in this country,” Woods explained. “We need term limits, we need to have a law that you cannot invest in any stock while you are a member of the United States government, we need Elon Musk to go in there as a cabinet member for Donald Trump and gut this federal loaded hog of bureaucracy.”
For those concerned about social issues, Woods also had a message. “I know that women have a very, very strong feeling about certain issues. I am not going to call them ‘reproductive rights’ because that’s not what we are talking about. We are talking about abortion,” he said. “Abortion is… a state’s right issue… The fight is done at the federal level.”
Radical gender ideology, however, is another story. “But if you have a daughter who wants to cut her breasts off at 14 years old because somebody in her class told her that she really is a boy and so on, Kamala Harris will be right there on the hinge of the scaffold,” Woods added.
‘Get Out and Vote!’
The Washington Post announced on Friday that it will not be endorsing a candidate for president for the first time in 50 years, joining the likes of the Los Angeles Times which made a similar announcement this week. In the past, both publications have overwhelmingly supported Democrats.
Woods said it is symbolic of a larger shift. “When the rats start deserting the sinking ship, you know you are in trouble,” he noted. “They are deserting because they don’t want to have for their historical posterity the fact that they literally endorsed this clown show.”
While he believes the choice is clear, Woods said it is up to voters to make an informed decision. “You have a right to vote for whomever you want – thank God we’re in America,” he concluded. “So, get out and vote!”
