There is utter devastation in Los Angeles as wildfires continue to rage and are said to be zero percent contained. More than 25,000 acres have burned, forcing hundreds of thousands of people to flee under mandatory evacuation orders. At least five people have been killed, and over 1,000 structures – including homes and schools – have been destroyed.
On Wednesday, Megyn shared that the only thing remaining of her friend’s home and belongings was the chimney. Bryan Freedman, her attorney and a guest on Tuesday’s program, evacuated his home and was unsure of the damage. And friends of The Megyn Kelly Show, including James Woods and Adam Carolla, have found themselves in a similar state of unknown.
Woods and Carolla joined Megyn on Thursday’s show to discuss their experiences evacuating their homes, what they know about the damage to their neighborhoods, and what comes next.
Putting it in Perspective
Woods opens up about how he realized his home was under threat, what he and his wife decided to take with them, how to put the incredible devastation into perspective, the incompetent leadership and mismanagement that led to the terrible damage, and more.
Plans to Rebuild
Carolla shares his personal experience evacuating from his home after the fires broke out, the pragmatic way he plans to go about rebuilding from the devastation, the consequences of the Los Angeles Fire Department’s DEI initiatives, and more.
California Red Tape
Megyn and Carolla talk about the challenge of rebuilding in Los Angeles and California due to all the red tape and bureaucracy, the billions the state has wasted on a failed high speed rail system, how fire preparedness has suffered, and more.
